How do I take care of Songbird 400 Hour?
Although it is easy to use, the Songbird 400 Hour is a precision instrument. To ensure the best performance, take
the following precautions:
Clean your Songbird following our simple instructions in the Quick Start Guide and the User Instructional Brochure
(Click here to download). Clean your ears regularly with commercially available ear wash systems,
like the Songbird Ear Wax Removal System. Click here to buy.
Do not allow any liquid to enter the hearing aid. Never swim or bathe while wearing your Songbird 400 Hour.
Handle carefully. Do not drop or throw the hearing aid.
Do not use hair spray when wearing the hearing aid.
Keep the hearing aid out of the reach of small children and pets.
Store the hearing aid at room temperature. Do not expose it to excessive temperatures from heat lamps, hair dryers,
stoves, windowsills, or the car's glove compartment.

How do I make the Songbird 400 Hour work?
The Songbird 400 Hour has been designed for simplicity of use. When ready to use, simply grasp the sealed pouch at
the grip tab provided. Gently tear the pouch open to remove your Songbird. DO NOT open the pouch until you are ready
to start using your Songbird. Turn the hearing aid ON by grasping the On-Off Plastic Cord between your thumb and
forefinger. Gently push the On-Off Plastic Cord until the rectangular portion is flush with the back of the hearing aid.

How do I insert and remove the Songbird 400 Hour?
With the hearing aid turned on, follow the instructions below:
- Orient the hearing aid so the On-Off Plastic Cord is up for the right ear (fig 1), and down for the left ear (fig 2).
- Slowly and using a rocking motion, gently massage the hearing aid into place with the tip of your finger. Do not
push forcefully or rapidly. NOTE - the hearing aid will make a whistling noise until it is completely and properly inserted.
- To ease insertion, try pulling the top of your ear up and back (fig 3).
- To remove your Songbird - grasp the On-Off Plastic Cord. Use a gentle rocking motion to release the seal, then
slowly pull the hearing aid out of your ear. To turn OFF, gently pull the On-Off Plastic Cord until the rectangular portion
is exposed.

Can I use the Songbird 400 Hour with telephones? How about my cellular?
Yes. You can use the Songbird with telephones of all types; however, if feedback (whistling) occurs, tilt the telephone
away from the ear until the whistling stops. Try various positions with the telephone to minimize or eliminate feedback.
