What happened?
Kathy Liston, M.A., CCC-A, of Queen City ENT Associates, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio, has achieved an excellent success rate in fitting the Songbird Hearing Aid. (She anticipates an even higher success rate when she receives the Songbird Hearing Aids in the new 8mm tip size.) Kathy has the fitting process down to approximately 40 minutes when hearing tests have not been previously completed, and 25 minutes when they have been completed on a prior visit.
How did she do it?
Kathy noted that the Songbird is very easy to fit for those patients whose hearing loss falls within the Songbird range. She simply educated herself on the unique features of the Songbird by reading up on the materials she received with her kit, and gave careful study and consideration to the amplification required by her patients – in short, she did what any audiologist should do to familiarize herself with a new product. Kathy has been impressed with the product’s performance and is especially pleased with some of the unique features, like the MegaMike microphone.
Results:
She has sold eight Songbird Disposable Hearing Aids in three weeks. Some of Kathy’s patients had come into her office specifically looking for the Songbird Disposable Hearing Aid. Others were sold on the features and the ease of use/maintenance the product provides.
Lessons Learned:
